Ingredients:
- 8 mozzarella string cheese sticks
- 1 cup almond flour
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- Cooking oil for frying (choose a keto-friendly oil)
Instructions:
- Cut each mozzarella stick in half to create smaller sticks.
- In a shallow bowl, mix together almond flour, grated Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, and garlic powder.
- Dip each mozzarella stick into the beaten eggs, ensuring it’s fully coated.
- Roll the egg-coated stick in the almond flour mixture, pressing the coating to adhere.
- Place the coated sticks on a tray lined with parchment paper and freeze for about 30 minutes.
- Heat the cooking oil in a deep fryer or a heavy-bottomed pan to 350°F (175°C).
- Fry the mozzarella sticks in batches for 1-2 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
- Use a slotted spoon to remove the sticks from the oil and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to absorb excess oil.
- Allow the mozzarella sticks to cool for a few minutes before serving.
