Air Fryer Steak with Herb Butter
🔥 Air Fryer Steak with Herb Butter
🥩 Ingredients:
-
2 ribeye or sirloin steaks (about 1-inch thick)
-
2 tbsp olive oil
-
Salt and pepper, to taste
-
Garlic powder (optional)
-
Fresh or dried thyme or rosemary (optional)
🍀 For Herb Butter:
-
2 tbsp unsalted butter (softened)
-
1 clove garlic (minced)
-
1 tbsp fresh parsley or chives (finely chopped)
-
1/2 tsp lemon juice (optional)
-
Pinch of salt
🛠️ Instructions:
1. Prep the Steaks:
-
Pat the steaks dry with a paper towel.
-
Rub both sides with olive oil.
-
Season generously with salt, pepper, and any optional herbs/spices.
-
Let them rest at room temperature for 20–30 minutes (this helps them cook more evenly).
2. Make the Herb Butter:
-
In a small bowl, mix the softened butter, garlic, herbs, lemon juice, and salt.
-
Spoon it into a small dish or roll into a log using plastic wrap. Chill in the fridge while the steak cooks.
3. Cook in Air Fryer:
-
Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 3–5 minutes.
-
Place steaks in the air fryer basket in a single layer (don’t overcrowd).
-
Cook for 8–12 minutes, flipping halfway:
-
8 mins = medium-rare
-
10 mins = medium
-
12 mins = medium-well
-
4. Rest & Serve:
-
Remove steaks and rest for 5 minutes to let juices redistribute.
-
Top with a dollop of the herb butter just before serving.
💡 Tips:
-
Use a meat thermometer for precision:
-
130°F for medium-rare
-
140°F for medium
-
-
Add a splash of Worcestershire sauce or balsamic glaze before air frying for added depth.
