Perfect Air Fryer Cod Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2 cod fillets (about 6 oz each)

  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour

  • 1 large egg, beaten

  • 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs (or crushed cornflakes for extra crispiness)

  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder

  • 1/2 tsp paprika

  • Salt & pepper to taste

  • Olive oil spray

  • Lemon wedges (for serving)

  • Optional: fresh parsley for garnish


Instructions:

  1. Prep the Cod:

    • Pat the cod fillets dry with paper towels.

    • Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.

  2. Coat the Fish:

    • Dredge each fillet in flour, then dip into the beaten egg.

    • Finally, coat with panko breadcrumbs, pressing gently so it sticks.

  3. Preheat the Air Fryer:

    • Set it to 400°F (200°C) and let it preheat for 3-5 minutes.

  4. Cook:

    • Lightly spray the air fryer basket with olive oil.

    • Place cod fillets in the basket (don’t overcrowd).

    • Spray the tops with olive oil.

    • Air fry for 10–12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and cooked through (internal temp should reach 145°F / 63°C).

  5. Serve:

    • Plate with lemon wedges and garnish with parsley if desired.
